PassPrep already gives instant, rubric-based feedback on written responses for scholarship exams. We're building the same thing for VCE English — Text Response, Creating a Text, and Argument Analysis.
One email when it launches. Nothing else.
The Units 3&4 exam is worth 60% of your study score (the rest comes from SACs) and is split into three equally weighted sections, each written in about an hour.
Section A
Often still called "Text Response" — an essay responding to a topic on one of your studied texts, supported by close reference to it.
Section B
An original written text responding to a Framework of Ideas, a provided title, and stimulus material — not a comparative essay, despite what a lot of older study guides still say.
Section C
Often still called "Language Analysis" — analysing how argument, language and visuals are used to persuade in an unseen persuasive text.
What's coming
Submit an essay any time and get scored, specific feedback back in seconds — not whenever your teacher gets through the pile.
Feedback built for Section A, B and C separately, since each is marked on different criteria.
A lot of VCE English content online is still written for the old curriculum. Ours isn't.
